Biography

Viduneth Ariyarathna obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka with first-class honors in 2013. Prior to his graduate studies, he worked as a verification engineer for a period of one year in the EDA domain at Atrenta Inc. which is currently owned by Synopsys Inc. Viduneth obtained his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron in 2016 and in 2019, he obtained his Ph.D. from Florida International University both under the supervision of Dr. Arjuna Madanayake. Viduneth also worked for Cisco Systems in the summer of 2018 as a Hardware Engineering intern at the WiFi router section. Currently, he is a post-doctorate research fellow at Northeastern Univesity in the UN-laboratory directed by Professor Josep M. Jornet. Viduneth’s main research interests include RF-system design, analog-digital hybrid beamforming systems, ultra-broadband wireless communication systems, and  multi-dimensional signal processing.
