Biography
Mustafa F. Alawad is working on writing flight software for the TeraLink-1 mission at the Ultrabroadband Networking Laboratory. He designs and develops onboard computer (OBC) systems using NASA JPL’s F’ (F Prime) framework, with a focus on fault-tolerant, real-time flight software. Previously, Mustafa was a research intern at NASA JPL, where he developed HoloSim, an open-source Python tool that established the first standardized process for sub-micrometer near-field radio holography measurements on large parabolic dish antennas. This work led to a peer-reviewed paper accepted at the 2025 IEEE APS/URSI Symposium. Mustafa is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating in 2027.
