Biography
Laura Tomarossi Teixeira is a rising senior mechanical engineering student based in Massachusetts. Her work largely concentrated on aerospace telecommunication and tracking systems across several institutes, including the MIT Lincoln Laboratory. She currently serves as the chief mechanical engineer in the university student satellite development team, managing two active satellite programs, and she directly supports the UN Laboratory Teralink RF payload design team. As a current PEAK fellow under the advisement of Prof. Jornet, she conducts mechatronic R&D on active/passive vibration control mechanisms for a low-SWaP high-gain precision, pointing, and tracking (PP&T) gimbal system to support highly directional (sub-THz band and higher) payloads in high turbulence environments.
