Biography

Xavier Cantos-Roman is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA, where he works under the guidance of Professor Josep Miquel Jornet. He received the B.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC)ETSETB, Barcelona, Spain, in 2019, graduating top 3% of his class, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in 2023.

From February 2019 to July 2019, he was a visiting research student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, where he developed his bachelor thesis on graphene-based plasmonic devices for THz communications. From September 2021 to December 2021, he interned in the R&I department at InterDigital, New York, NY, where he worked on the design and simulation of bistatic radar systems using 5G NR signals for integrated communication and sensing architectures.
